The New York Yankees are the 2009 World Series champions. The new Yankee Stadium was officially christened last night with its 27th World Series Title 86 years after Babe Ruth and company won the first of 26 championships in the old Yankee Stadium. A sign in the stands read "New Home, Same Destiny". How fitting!!!
Congratulations to the 2009 New York Yankees and to all Yankee fans everywhere!
