It's time to pack up...

We've been in the Hamptons for the past month, and our time is winding down. The kids are having so much fun, and don't want to leave. I told them this morning that we were going back to VA in 3 days. Tank said, "Nooo (long whine), how about, in 100 days?!?" Banana whimpered, "I wish we lived in NY." We might have some unhappy campers next week...I hope not!!!

I have to laugh, as the non-blogger I am right now, but I've been TAGGED, by Sippycups ARE for Chardonnay.

Sippycups tagged me to create an invite list of any ten dinner guests - contemporary or from history, famous or non-famous. Who would they be, and what would your dinner theme be?

I would invite my husband, my three living children, my two angelic children, my brother Terence, my Mom, my Dad and my Pop.

My dinner theme would be, "Eat, drink and laugh it up."

Here we are...10 months later!!!

This is pitiful; it really is. If I was smart, I should dump this blog (non-blog), start another and post often.

However,...(and I hope that in a few months, you will be able to say, "HOW EVER did this Mama get it together???"), I'm feeling inspired by many preppy and Hokie bloggers. I want to make this work.

Right now, we are Summering in the Hamptons once again...Life is good!!! The ocean is our playground, and we are having a blast. This is the first year that all 3 kids are really into the water...they're on their way to becoming champion bodysurfers. :)

A little over 3 months later...

Today is September 4th...the first day of school for many students in this country and my sister's birthday. We won't talk age...especially since I'm only a little older than her. Happy Birthday, CoCo. We hope you have a wonderful day.

So where has the Summer gone already? We spent 5 weeks in the Hamptons....what a blast!!! Banana loved swimming in the water, Tank loved chasing the surf, and C-Monkey loved digging her head in the sand. C also was not a big fan of wearing bathing suits...she ended up looking like a young girl out of the 1920s, wearing a tank-type loose-fitting romper.

We've been back in VA a month now. Banana & Tank spent 4 weeks at a pre-school camp. They start pre-school next monday. They will be going 5 days a week, and C will be going 3 days a week (MWF). It's going to be very strange for me to not have any kids running underfoot. I think I'll get used to it fairly quickly. I look forward to working out more and getting the house better organized (...if you can call anything in this house organized already!).

Wow, it's September 4th. Where has the Summer gone?

We had a great time this Summer. We spent 5 weeks in the Hamptons. The kids LOVED thebeach. Banana loved being IN the water, Tank loved chasing the surf, and C-Monkey was not a big fan of bathing suits.

Today is CoCo's birthday. We won't mention ages here...especially since I just a little bit older than her. Happy Birthday, sissy!!!

Another thing I'm not so good about doing!!!

We've established that I'm not good at blogging...I'll work on that with nudges from CoCo.

Another thing I need to work on is taking more photos of the family. Here's a picture of the McLoughlin cousins that was taken at Easter (April 8th). Be sure to check out next week when I add a new one that includes the newest addition to the family.
E2 was born one month later on May 8th. Although she was born early, she is doing great. Proud parents, Uncle J and Aunt C, and big sis, E1, are delighted.

Here I Am....8 Months Later!!!

OK...Banana & Tank are POTTY-TRAINED by day. We now need to start working on night-time.

Today, when we were leaving school, I was strapping all the kids in the car. Anna & C-Monkey were already strapped in when Tank said he had to go to the bathroom. I asked another mom to keep an eye on the girls while I walked to the front door of the school to let Tank use the restroom. The restroom is right inside the front door. I checked to make sure no one was in there, then told Tank to go to town. I went back and stood by the front door watching the girls in the car. No sooner than Tank can pull his pants down to his ankles did the fire alarm go off. HE FREAKED!!! He then proceeded to run outside bawling....YES....with his pants around his ankles, his hands on his ears. Poor kid!!! I can laugh now!!!

We have a busy few weeks coming up. School is ending, summer camps are starting, and we'll be packing to spend 5 weeks in the Hamptons. We'll be there from June 30th through August 5th.

Day One

Today is the first day of my blog life. I am going to share all the crazy and not-so-crazy happenings going on in the Jones household. Trust me, there's something always going on. With soon-to-be 3yo boy/girl twins and a 16mo old girl running our household, life gets very hectic. The coming weeks will see a lot of activity...we're going to potty-train Anna & Aidan. ARGH!!! Yes, this is something I've been dreading for a long time...I've put it off too long. We'll also be planning their 3rd birthday party...Fun, fun, fun!
